St. John’s Vision Statement

St. John’s is a welcoming, multigenerational Christian community that nourishes lifelong spiritual formation through faith, worship, and fellowship.  We celebrate our gifts from God through shared Christian ministries, which are exemplified by our traditions, music, youth programs, and community outreach.  We welcome people from all backgrounds and invite them to call St. John’s their spiritual home.

Upcoming Events

Saint Johns Episcopal Church, 400 Main Street, Niantic, will begin summer hours as follows:

Religious services with sermon on Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:00am with child care during the 10:00 am service and lemonade served after the service.

Church school and Youth Journey to Adulthood program will resume in September at a date to be announced.

Eucharistic Service on Wednesday mornings at 11:00am.

The church office will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12noon. Messages may be left at the church and calls will be returned. For further information call 860-739-2608.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 400 Main St. Niantic, is holding their annual Carnival July 15th-18th. on St. John’s Green. Once again the Vendor will be Bowdoin Amusements. There will be fun for all ages with exciting new rides, a great midway and food . Hours will be 6-10 Wednesday-Friday and 3-10 on Saturday which is Celebrate East Lyme. Pay one price, ride all day. Major credit cards will be accepted. For more information call 739-2324

The members of St. John’s Episcopal Church come from many denominations, backgrounds and lifestyles, yet all have found it a place to call home. We hope you too will find it to be a loving community.

There are many words to describe our church.  “Strong outreach”, “wonderful music”, “active youth”, and “layleadership”. The ministries of St. John’s Church are as rich and varied as the members themselves, ranging from housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, tutoring young people, inviting the community to glorious concerts, and nourishing souls with rich worship and educational opportunities.

While our website will give you a glimpse of life at St. John’s Church , we invite you to join us for Sunday worship to experience our life together, and to become involved in any of our ministries to which you feel called.
